Sofa at The therapy Clinic, Therapy Brighton, Therapy Hove

At The Therapy Clinic we have developed two specific support offerings for these unprecedented times

Covid-19 Online Counselling

Whether you’re social distancing, self-isolating, working/studying from home or furloughed you may be feeling anxious or stressed during this time, and that’s completely normal.

Members of our therapy team are offering a free initial consultation and up to 5 further sessions at a reduced rate of £35 for individuals and £50 for couples.

The Therapy Clinic is offering short term online counselling for individuals and couples who need help in dealing with the impact of Covid-19 including:-

  • Dealing with Loneliness and Isolation
  • Managing Anxiety
  • Managing Uncertainty about the future
  • Help with Relationship stress/conflict
  • Adjusting to working from home
  • Looking after your own Mental Health when you’re focussed on helping others
  • Dealing with grief and loss

Whatever your situation you may have concerns about your own health or the health of people close to you or be feeling anxious and uncertain about the future. You may be coming to terms with having to keep away from someone close who is vulnerable or seriously ill. You may already be grieving the loss of a loved one due to Covid-19.

These sessions can offer support:-

  • If you live alone you may be struggling to deal with the feelings of loneliness & isolation or frustration & boredom due to the enforced separation from others.
  • If you are sharing a space with a partner and/or family members you may be experiencing additional stress and conflict due to the enforced proximity.
  • If you are an NHS worker or volunteer or a  key worker continuing to provide vital services you may find it particularly difficult to find the emotional support you need at this time.

Free of Charge Single Support Sessions

A 30-50 minute support session conducted via telephone or video for NHS and other Health Care staff, Care workers, Paramedics, Volunteers and those caring for family members. As well as people affected by bereavement as a direct result of Covid-19.

Our therapists are well placed and trained to provide a listening ear for people who are dealing in a very immediate way with the impact of Covid-19 and are vulnerable to becoming overwhelmed by the emotional burden of their helping roles in the midst of the unfolding crisis. This service could support you:-

  • With the impact of a specific incident such as the death of a patient
  • The cumulative effect and exhaustion of encountering trauma
  • Experiencing fear and anxiety
  • A build of underlying feelings about expectations upon you.
  • Needing support to continue to be supportive
