Associate

Kate is an experienced BACP Accredited psychotherapist who works with both couples and individuals and draws from a range of therapeutic models including psychodynamic, systemic, Emotionally Focussed (EFT) and cognitive approaches.

Kate began her counselling career in 2006 training at ChildLine before going on to complete a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling at the University of Brighton. Following qualification Kate has continued to develop a particular  interest in working with couples and has completed advanced training in this area. She has a Certificate in Relationship Counselling from Tavistock Relationships – an internationally renowned centre for advanced training and research – and has recently completed further training in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples (EFT) an evidence based model which Kate  also incorporates into her work with individuals. As a therapist Kate has the flexibility and range of skills to be able to adapt her approach to suit the needs of individual clients. She offers both short term and longer term therapy.
