Jane Semark

Qualified

Jane is a qualied therapist with an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and
Psychotherapy. She has experience working with a range of presenting issues including
bereavement, trauma, anxiety and depression. Jane has also worked for charities who
support clients with suicidal thoughts and those facing challenges with alcohol and drugs.

Before training as a therapist Jane spent many years working in the Arts, part of her role
was to provide pastoral support for artists dealing with anxiety, feelings of lack of self and depression. It was her involvement in this aspect of her role that informed her decision to re train as a therapist.

Jane works with curiosity and empathy to help her clients explore their presenting issues. She works alongside clients to look at how events of the past may influence their experiences in the present. Her approach is informed by a range of psychodynamic theories and in practice she adapts her approach according to individual needs.
